ENTOMBED

3rd album from 1993 by Swedish ENTOMBED and one of the records that redefined the boundaries of Death Metal in the early 1990s. With "Wolverine Blues", the band embraced a heavier, groove-oriented approach while retaining the unmistakable buzzsaw guitar tone that had established ENTOMBED as one of the leading names of the Swedish Death Metal scene. The result was a bold and highly influential release.

Rather than repeating the formula of "Left Hand Path" or "Clandestine", ENTOMBED chose to evolve towards what would later become known as Death 'n' Roll, naturally blending Death Metal with Hard Rock and classic Rock influences. This daring step made "Wolverine Blues" one of the most distinctive and influential albums of their entire career.
