ANGEL DUST

Black vinyl reissue of the 1986 debut album by this German band from Dortmund, presented with a poster and a reproduction of the original biography sheet. Widely regarded as one of the cult acts of European Speed/ Thrash Metal, ANGEL DUST emerged during the explosion of extreme Metal in the mid-1980s with a release that combined the speed and aggression of the German scene with strong influences from the NWOBHM and traditional Heavy Metal.

Far removed from the Progressive Power Metal direction that would define their later years, ANGEL DUST delivered a sharp, energetic and straightforward attack built on fast riffs, memorable melodies and a strong connection to the first wave of European Thrash Metal. Over the years, "Into the Dark Past" has earned true cult status and remains an essential release for understanding the development of German Speed/ Thrash Metal during the 1980s.
