SOULROT

Vinyl version of the Debut album from 2017 by Chilean SOULROT, one of the standout acts of the new South American Death Metal generation. Released by Spanish label Memento Mori, "Nameless Hideous Manifestations" faithfully captures the spirit of early 1990s Death Metal, drawing heavily from the Stockholm scene while embracing a lyrical atmosphere inspired by the cosmic horror of H.P. Lovecraft.

The album excels through its crushing chainsaw guitar tone and a collection of songs that balance aggression, darkness and memorable hooks without sounding like mere imitation. SOULROT successfully injects its own identity into a deeply old-school approach, resulting in one of the strongest Death Metal debuts to emerge from Chile in recent years.
