DISASTROUS MURMUR

Vinyl version in black wax of the 1st album from 1992 by Austria's DISASTROUS MURMUR and one of the key European Death/ Grind releases of the early 1990s. Featuring Martin Messner (ex-DISHARMONIC ORCHESTRA), the band made its full-length debut after several years in the underground, capturing all the brutality and rawness already present in its earlier demos and EPs.

"Rhapsodies in Red" delivers a filthy, rotten and thoroughly sick blend of Death Metal and Grindcore built around crushing riffs, relentless rhythms and a putrid atmosphere that permeates the entire record. Avoiding technical excess and polished production, DISASTROUS MURMUR embraces primitive aggression and an overwhelming sense of decay, occupying the perfect middle ground between brutal Death Metal and dark, repulsive Grind. More than three decades later, it remains a cult classic of the European underground.
