The only album released in 1987 by this American Speed/ Thrash Metal band from Portland, Oregon. Issued during the peak of the U.S. underground Metal explosion, "Burned Alive" showcased MAYHEM's aggressive and straightforward approach, blending the speed of classic Speed Metal with the raw power of early Thrash. Although the band never achieved the recognition of some of its contemporaries, it left behind a cult gem that remains highly regarded among followers of 1980s American underground Metal. The lineup also included musicians who would later perform with DR. MASTERMIND and WILD DOGS, two well-known names from the Oregon Metal scene.
