Vinyl re-issue with gatefold cover of the 1st album from 1998 by German ANASARCA, one of the most interesting European Death Metal acts of the late 1990s. Formed by former members of VOMITING CORPSES, the band crafted on "Godmachine" a distinctive sound that successfully merges the brutality of American Death Metal with the darker, more melodic character of the European school, giving the album a unique identity within the Repulse Records catalogue.

Recorded between February and March 1998 at Art Temple Studio, the album alternates crushing brutality with dark melodic passages and well-crafted tempo changes, displaying remarkable songwriting maturity for a debut release. Rather than relying solely on straightforward Brutal Death Metal, ANASARCA blends influences from both the American and Swedish scenes, resulting in a powerful and varied album that has gradually earned cult status among fans of German Death Metal.
