3rd album from 1999 by American MONSTROSITY, one of the most respected bands to emerge from the legendary Florida Death Metal scene. "In Dark Purity" marked the debut of vocalist Jason Avery following George "Corpsegrinder" Fisher's departure to CANNIBAL CORPSE, while fully preserving the band's identity through a crushing blend of technical Death Metal, relentless aggression and outstanding musicianship.

One of the album's greatest strengths is how seamlessly the band overcame such an important line-up change, delivering a record that remains every bit as powerful as its predecessor. Slightly more straightforward than "Millennium" yet equally accomplished, "In Dark Purity" stands among the finest American Death Metal releases of the late 1990s.
