2nd album from 1994 by Polish Black Metal pioneers CHRIST AGONY and one of the most representative releases of the band's early era. Released just one year after "Unholyunion", "Daemoonseth Act II" further developed the unique artistic vision of Cezary "Cezar" Augustynowicz, combining the aggression of early Black Metal with dark atmospheres, elaborate structures and a strong compositional identity that clearly distinguished the band from many of its Scandinavian contemporaries. The album helped establish CHRIST AGONY as one of the key names in the Polish extreme Metal scene of the 1990s.
Within the band's catalog, "Daemoonseth Act II" is often regarded as one of the defining releases of its classic period. Rather than simply following the conventions of contemporary Black Metal, CHRIST AGONY embraced a more epic, ritualistic and atmospheric approach, built around lengthy compositions and the inspired performance of Cezar, the band's unquestionable creative force. The combination of darkness, melody and artistic ambition turned this album into a landmark of Polish Black Metal, anticipating many of the qualities that would later characterize numerous Eastern European extreme Metal bands.
