CD edition combining POSSESSED's 2nd album from 1986, "Beyond the Gates", and the legendary "The Eyes of Horror" EP (1987). As one of the pioneering bands in the birth of Death Metal, POSSESSED expanded its musical horizons on "Beyond the Gates", adopting a more technical and sophisticated Thrash Metal approach while preserving the darkness and aggression that made Jeff Becerra's band so influential.

Produced by Joe Satriani and featuring Larry LaLonde before joining PRIMUS, "The Eyes of Horror" was the final studio recording by the original lineup and showcased a significant leap in both musicianship and songwriting. Together, these two releases provide an outstanding overview of POSSESSED's artistic evolution during its formative years and remain essential listening for understanding the development of both Thrash and Death Metal in the 1980s.
