2nd album from 1986 by American Thrash Metal band HALLOWS EVE and one of the most representative releases of mid-1980s Thrash Metal. Released one year after the debut "Tales of Terror", "Death & Insanity" found the band sounding more mature, aggressive and confident, firmly establishing the style that had made it one of the most promising acts to emerge from the Atlanta scene. While retaining the intensity of its predecessor, the group developed a darker and more refined approach, strengthening its place within the rapidly growing American Thrash Metal movement.
Within the HALLOWS EVE catalog, this release is often regarded as the high point of the band's early career. The group successfully balanced speed, aggression and technical skill without sacrificing the raw energy that defined its songwriting.
