FROM BEYOND

Debut EP from 2003 by Belgian FROM BEYOND, a band formed from the ashes of the Black Metal outfit MORIBUND that made a complete stylistic shift toward old school Thrash Metal, drawing its strongest inspiration from the early German scene. Across its five tracks, the band delivers raw speed, razor-sharp riffing, harsh vocals and clear influences from KREATOR, SODOM and DESTRUCTION, while adding enough technical touches to give the material its own identity.

Clocking in at just over twenty minutes, "Thrashin' Machine" is a relentless burst of pure old school energy, combining aggression, speed and tight musicianship with a genuine passion for classic European Thrash Metal. An impressive debut that laid the foundations for the band's later full-length and remains an overlooked gem for devoted Thrash fans.
