APOKEFALE

2nd album from 2008 by Russia's APOKEFALE and an intriguing example of modern Black Metal enriched with industrial, electronic and atmospheric influences while retaining the genre's inherent aggression. Following "Interior Chaos", the band continued to refine its identity, moving beyond traditional approaches and exploring darker, more experimental territory.

"Apokefale" blends sharp riffing, harsh vocals and a cold, oppressive atmosphere with symphonic arrangements, electronic textures and subtle industrial elements. Rather than embracing a grandiose or epic style, the band favors a more mechanical, urban and futuristic approach, built around dynamic compositions that balance aggression, experimentation and atmospheric depth. A distinctive release reflecting the influence of some of the most innovative currents in late-'90s and early-2000s Black Metal.
