Debut album from 2009 by this Canadian Progressive/ Technical Deathcore band from Ontario. With "Massacre of the North", ASSASSINATE THE FOLLOWING... delivered an ambitious blend of extreme aggression, technical proficiency and progressive songwriting, standing apart from many of the more formulaic Deathcore releases of its era. The album showcases a young but highly driven band capable of merging diverse influences into a dynamic and sophisticated sound.

One of the album's most notable strengths is its ability to move between highly technical passages and more melodic, progressive arrangements, resulting in compositions filled with variation and detail.
