3rd album from 1991 by American DEVASTATION and the definitive statement from one of the most underrated Death/ Thrash Metal bands ever. "Idolatry" expanded upon the direction introduced on "Signs of Life", delivering a heavier and darker sound that moved closer to Death Metal while preserving the speed and intensity of classic Thrash. The result is a crushing album now widely regarded as a landmark of the genre.

One of the album's greatest strengths is its more mature songwriting, featuring darker atmospheres and more developed arrangements without sacrificing aggression. Released at a time when Death Metal was rapidly taking over the underground scene, "Idolatry" never received the recognition it deserved, but it has since earned its place as one of the essential Death/ Thrash Metal albums of the early 1990s.
