MELIAH RAGE

5th album from 2006 by this veteran American Power/ Thrash Metal band from Boston, Massachusetts. With "The Deep and Dreamless Sleep", MELIAH RAGE continued the second phase of its career following its early-2000s comeback, preserving the elements that had always defined the band: powerful riffing, dark melodies and a strong Heavy Metal sensibility within a distinctly American Power/ Thrash Metal framework. Featuring Paul Souza on vocals, the album serves as a direct continuation of the path established on "Barely Human".

One of the album's most notable qualities is its darker and more varied approach compared to much of the band's earlier material. The songs incorporate greater tempo variation, denser atmospheres and more textural depth while retaining MELIAH RAGE's trademark power and intensity. Rather than chasing contemporary trends, the band further reinforces its classic identity, resulting in a mature and highly underrated release that stands among the strongest efforts of its comeback era.
