2nd album from 1992 by this legendary American Death Metal band from Buffalo, New York. Released shortly before the band adopted the name BANISHED, "The Dead Shall Inherit" represents the culmination of BAPHOMET's original era, refining the heavy, dark and crushing sound that made them one of the defining names of early New York Death Metal.

Alongside new material, the album revisits several songs from the ultra-rare "Inheritors of the Dead", re-recorded with a far stronger production and considerably tighter performances, making these the definitive versions of much of the band's early catalogue. A cult classic whose reputation has continued to grow over the years.
