CANNIBAL CORPSE

Debut album from 1990 by this legendary American Death Metal band from Buffalo, New York, and one of the cornerstones upon which early American Death Metal was built. While still displaying some strong Extreme Thrash influences, the band already showcased many of the elements that would eventually make it one of the most influential and enduring acts in the history of the genre.

Its sound combines ferocity, speed and raw aggression through savage riffing, frantic rhythms and Chris Barnes' distinctive vocals. More primitive and direct than the albums that followed, it captures a hungry young band in full creative development, delivering a collection of songs that would later become essential Death Metal classics.
