INFERNVS SERPEST

Debut album from 2011 by Chilean Death Metal band INFERNUS SERPEST and one of the most savage examples of South American Death Metal from the 2010s. Formed in Valdivia in 2009, the band emerged with a sound firmly rooted in the most primitive traditions of the genre, rejecting modern trends in favor of a brutal, dark and completely old-school approach. "Born of the Fire and the Black Light" was the band's first full-length album and laid the foundations for a career devoted to sonic devastation and anti-Christian blasphemy.

Rather than embracing technical excess or polished production, the album focuses on direct aggression, razor-sharp riffing and a hellish atmosphere that draws equally from the American old school and the savage South American extreme Metal tradition. Across its nine tracks, INFERNUS SERPEST delivers a merciless Death Metal assault with clear influences from MORBID ANGEL, MONSTROSITY, MALEVOLENT CREATION, UNLEASHED and early DEICIDE, all wrapped in a raw production that enhances the underground spirit of the material.
