Debut album from 1986 by this veteran German Thrash Metal band. Released during the explosion of the German Thrash scene, "Necronomicon" introduced a band that, despite remaining in the shadow of names such as KREATOR, SODOM and DESTRUCTION, earned a respected place in the underground thanks to its savage, high-speed sound infused with aggressive Punk influences. Led by Volker "Freddy" Fredrich, the band delivered a furious and energetic record that is now regarded as one of the hidden classics of eighties European Thrash Metal.

The songs are driven by razor-sharp riffing, dynamic tempo changes and an untamed attitude that perfectly captures the spirit of the German scene at its peak.
