Split CD collecting the only demos ever released by Swedish Death Metal bands EMBRYO and STIGMATA, originally issued in 1991 and 1992 respectively, plus 4 exclusive live EMBRYO tracks recorded in Strängnäs in 1993. Released as part of "The Cult Demo Series", this collection brings together two genuine cult rarities from the golden era of Swedish Death Metal. Both recordings showcase a dark, heavy and atmospheric approach firmly rooted in the Scandinavian Death Metal tradition of the early 1990s, making this release essential for devotees of the genre.

EMBRYO's "Damnatory Cacophony" demo featured Mattias Borgh, later known for his work with CRYPT OF KERBEROS, while STIGMATA included Mattias Parkkila (EGYPT) and Peter Eklund, who would later become associated with DARK FUNERAL. Together, these recordings offer an outstanding snapshot of obscure Swedish Death Metal history, preserving the legacy of two bands that never progressed beyond the demo stage yet left behind material highly regarded by underground collectors.
