OSTROGOTH

EP released in 2015 by this legendary Belgian Heavy/ Power Metal band, arriving no less than 28 years after "Feelings of Fury" (1987) and marking OSTROGOTH's first collection of new material since returning to activity. More than just a comeback release, "Last Tribe Standing" proved that the band had lost none of the spirit that made it one of the most respected names of the European Heavy Metal scene during the 1980s.

The release combines four brand-new studio tracks with four live recordings captured during the band's 2014 festival tour. Rather than attempting to modernize its sound, OSTROGOTH reinforces the qualities that always defined its identity, creating a natural bridge between its classic era and its modern incarnation. The EP also carries considerable emotional significance, as it features the final recordings of longtime guitarist Rudy "Whiteshark" Vercruysse, who passed away shortly after the sessions were completed, making "Last Tribe Standing" a particularly important release in the band's history.
