3rd album from 1991 by American CRIMSON GLORY, and the last to feature the legendary Midnight on vocals before his departure. "Strange and Beautiful" marked a dramatic stylistic shift from the band's first two classic albums, embracing a far more melodic and accessible sound that blended Hard Rock, 1970s influences and touches of progressive rock, a move that sharply divided both critics and longtime fans upon its release.

Although it moves away from the epic and technical Heavy Metal that made CRIMSON GLORY famous, the album still showcases Jon Drenning's exceptional songwriting and Midnight's unmistakable vocal identity. Over the years, "Strange and Beautiful" has gradually earned recognition as an underrated and misunderstood release that, when judged on its own merits rather than against its celebrated predecessors, reveals a remarkably strong collection of melodic, emotional and beautifully crafted songs.
