ANTHRAX

1985 2nd album by American Thrash Metal legends ANTHRAX and the first to feature Joey Belladonna on vocals. "Spreading the Disease" represented a massive step forward from the band's debut, blending razor-sharp Thrash Metal with stronger melodies and more refined songwriting. Widely regarded as one of the essential releases of the genre, it established the band's unmistakable identity.

The album also introduced bassist Frank Bello, completing the classic lineup that would soon deliver "Among the Living". Its balance of speed, precision and memorable songwriting helped define the sound of American Thrash Metal during the mid-80s, and its influence continues to be felt across generations of bands.
