Debut EP from 2018 by this American Death/ Doom Metal band from Minneapolis, a group that quickly gained attention for its ability to combine cosmic atmospheres, crushing heaviness and a deeply dark and oppressive mood. Consisting of just three songs and running for less than sixteen minutes, "Consumed by Oblivion" provides a powerful introduction to the sound that VOID ROT would further develop on later releases such as "Descending Pillars".
Despite its short length, the EP already showcases the band's distinctive identity, built around a dense and cavernous form of Death/ Doom Metal where atmosphere, weight and a sense of vastness are every bit as important as aggression.
