2nd album from 2017 by this Asheville, North Carolina-based band, a group that has developed a highly distinctive blend of Stoner Rock, Doom Metal, psychedelic Rock and Southern Rock. With "Ramble Beyond", BASK significantly expanded upon the foundations established on its debut "American Hollow" (2014), incorporating elements of Americana, Post-Metal and Progressive Rock while retaining the weight and atmosphere that define its sound.
Rather than relying on standard Stoner Rock formulas, the band crafts a richly textured album where melancholic landscapes, rural atmospheres and emotionally powerful moments coexist naturally. Heavy guitars, layered vocal harmonies and a strong Southern character combine to create a remarkably immersive and difficult-to-categorize work. "Ramble Beyond" represented a major artistic step forward for BASK and remains one of the most acclaimed releases in the band's catalog.
