- New
Debut album from 1993 by America's INSANITY and one of the lost gems of the first generation of Californian Death Metal. Although released when the genre had already evolved considerably, much of the material had been written during the second half of the 1980s, explaining its strongly primitive character and deep connection to the earliest roots of Death Metal.
"Death After Death" blends extreme Thrash Metal aggression with a savage and chaotic form of Death Metal that was conceived long before many of the genre's conventions became firmly established. Fast riffing, unpredictable song structures, constant tempo shifts and almost uncontrolled intensity define an album that stands out through its unique personality and uncompromising underground spirit. Raw, wild and in some respects ahead of its time, the record has gradually earned cult status among devotees of the earliest forms of Death Metal.
