BLODIGA SKALD

Debut album from 2017 by this Italian Folk Metal band formed in Rome in 2014. With "Ruhn", BLODIGA SKALD developed a style strongly influenced by the adventurous and festive side of European Folk Metal, combining metallic guitar work with traditional melodies and a prominent use of accordion and keyboards. The album expanded upon the ideas previously introduced on the EP "Tefaccioseccomerda" and established the foundations of the sound the band would continue to explore in later releases.

Within the band's catalog, "Ruhn" stands out for its ability to balance the carefree tavern-like spirit typical of the genre with sufficiently varied and dynamic songwriting.
