ABIGOR

Debut album from 1994 by this influential Austrian band, one of the most important acts to emerge from the second wave of European Black Metal. With "Verwüstung / Invoke the Dark Age", ABIGOR introduced a distinctive vision of the genre, marked by dark and majestic atmospheres, sophisticated songwriting and a clear tendency towards more elaborate arrangements than those commonly found within Black Metal at the time. Its release represented an important step forward for the Central European scene of the mid-1990s.

Through fast-paced guitar work, carefully crafted tempo changes and a profound sense of mysticism and grandeur, the band created a work that stands out both for its aggression and its ability to generate immersive atmospheres.
