BADLANDS

Debut album from 1989 by this acclaimed American Hard Rock band formed by guitarist Jake E. Lee following his departure from OZZY OSBOURNE, alongside charismatic vocalist Ray Gillen (BLACK SABBATH), bassist Greg Chaisson and drummer Eric Singer, later known for his work with KISS, ALICE COOPER and BLACK SABBATH. With "Badlands", the band delivered a powerful blend of seventies-inspired Hard Rock and Blues Rock, standing apart from the more commercial trends that dominated the late eighties.

One of the album's greatest strengths is the remarkable chemistry between its members, particularly the interaction between Jake E.
