MISFITS

2nd album from 1983 by this American band and the final studio recording featuring Glenn Danzig before the group's original breakup. Widely regarded as one of the most extreme and influential MISFITS releases, it marked a dramatic shift from the Horror Punk approach of their early years toward a far more aggressive and frantic sound rooted in Hardcore Punk, while also foreshadowing elements that would later influence Crossover and Thrash Metal.

Running at a relentless pace from start to finish, "Earth A.D. / Wolfs Blood" delivers a concentrated blast of speed, aggression and B-movie horror imagery. Several songs were originally intended for SAMHAIN, Danzig's next band, giving the album a unique transitional character between both eras. An essential release for understanding the link between Hardcore Punk and the emerging extreme Metal scene of the 1980s.
