THUNDERHEAD

Debut album from 1989 by Germany's THUNDERHEAD and one of the hidden gems of late-'80s Heavy Metal. Based in Germany but fronted by American vocalist Ted Bullet, the band crafted a distinctive sound that blended classic Heavy Metal power, Hard Rock energy and touches of US Metal, resulting in a style that stood apart from many of its contemporaries.

"Behind the Eight-Ball" shines through its strong songwriting, impressive guitar work and Bullet's commanding vocal performance. Positioned somewhere between melodic Heavy Metal and muscular Hard Rock, the album delivers memorable riffs, catchy choruses and a solid production that enhances a collection of songs that are both powerful and accessible. Although it never achieved the fame of some of its peers, it has gradually earned cult status among fans of melodic and classy traditional Metal.
