Floga Records reissue of the compilation originally released in 1998, gathering all the recorded material by MYTHIC, the influential all-female American Death Metal band formed after the split of DERKÉTA. This comprehensive anthology includes the legendary 1992 EP "Mourning in the Winter Solstice" together with the band's two 1991 demos, for a total of 12 tracks documenting the complete output of one of the most respected underground Death Metal acts of its era.
Despite its limited discography, MYTHIC left a significant mark thanks to an exceptionally heavy, dark and oppressive sound that stood apart from the more technical or speed-oriented trends of the time. The band's compositions are characterized by dense riffing, crushing rhythms and a bleak atmosphere that places them firmly alongside acts such as ROTTREVORE, INCANTATION, DETERIOROT and DERKÉTA itself. This anthology not only preserves historically important material from the American Death Metal underground, but also offers the perfect opportunity to discover a pioneering band whose legacy and reputation have continued to grow over the years.
Recommended for fans of: ROTTREVORE, INCANTATION, DETERIOROT, DERKÉTA and DISMA.
