ADIANT

Debut album from 2021 by this Austrian Symphonic/ Melodic Death Metal band formed in 2019. With "Killing Dreams", ADIANT introduced a sound built around strong melodies, symphonic arrangements and Melodic Death Metal influences, further enhanced by the contrast between the clean vocals of Patricia Gschier and the harsher vocal contributions of Felix Gschier. The album represented the full realization of ideas first explored on the band's self-titled 2020 demo.

Rather than focusing on the more extreme side of modern Melodic Death Metal, ADIANT leans toward a more melodic and atmospheric approach in which symphonic elements play a central role. Several songs from the 2020 demo were revisited and expanded for this release, allowing the band to present a more mature and fully developed version of its musical identity. As such, "Killing Dreams" serves as a strong introduction to the band and laid the groundwork for the direction further explored on "Witches Dance" (2024).
