ABHORROT

Debut album from 2019 by Austrian ABHORROT, a dark Death Metal project formed in 2007 that finally released its first full-length with "Abysmal Echoes" after years in the underground, despite the album having been recorded back in 2015.

The album delivers a dense, chaotic and deeply oppressive brand of Death Metal, built around twisted riffing, shifting tempos and an abyssal atmosphere where the darkest side of Death Metal merges with sinister Black Metal overtones. The result is a highly distinctive work that is both crushing and unsettling, recalling the legacy of INCANTATION while sharing the ritualistic darkness of the Canadian Black/Death scene.
