3rd album from 2023 by this Ukrainian-Polish Technical/ Progressive Death Metal band. Originally formed in 2006 under the name ORTHODOX before adopting the KARPATHIAN RELICT moniker in 2017, the group has steadily developed a distinctive style that blends Technical Death Metal aggression with progressive influences, sophisticated melodies and themes inspired by Slavic mythology, nature and the Carpathian region. "Never Be After" marks the band's return after a five-year gap since "Forever Not Yet".
Rather than simply revisiting previous ideas, the album significantly expands the band's compositional scope through richer melodies, more elaborate arrangements and a stronger progressive dimension. While retaining the technical intensity and aggression that define their sound, KARPATHIAN RELICT delivers a more mature and dynamic work that further develops the direction explored on "Beyond the Over", establishing the band as one of the more compelling acts to emerge from the Eastern European underground in recent years.
