"Escape to Nowhere" preserves the epic Power/ Heavy Metal identity that made OMEN one of the genre's most respected cult acts, while introducing a slightly more polished and melodic approach than its predecessors. It also marked the debut of vocalist Coburn Pharr, later known for his work with ANNIHILATOR.

Rather than simply repeating the formula of "Battle Cry" and "The Warning", the album explores a more accessible direction without sacrificing the band's epic spirit and powerful songwriting.
