NO EMPATHY

Debut album from 2010 by German NO EMPATHY, a trio from Leipzig performing raw, violent and deeply atmospheric Black Metal. Originally released on vinyl and later issued on CD by Ketzer Records, "Rust" successfully blends the ferocity of second-wave Black Metal with a strong sense of dynamics, shifting between furious blast-driven passages and haunting mid-paced sections built around hypnotic riffing.

Rather than relying solely on relentless aggression, NO EMPATHY crafts a dark and immersive album where atmosphere plays an equally important role, supported by excellent guitar work and varied songwriting that keeps the listener engaged throughout. A highly accomplished debut that deserved far more attention and remains well worth discovering for devotees of orthodox yet evocative Black Metal.
