KASPYX

Debut EP from 2023 by this Indonesian Death/ Doom Metal band. Right from its first compositions, KASPYX makes its intentions clear with a dense, cavernous and deeply oppressive sound, merging the darkness of primitive Death Metal with the crushing weight and slow pace of Doom to create a haunting sepulchral atmosphere.

Rather than relying on speed, the band builds each composition around monolithic riffs, crushing tempos and an overwhelming sense of desolation that permeates the entire recording. Despite being a debut EP, it already displays remarkable songwriting maturity and a clearly defined identity within the darkest realms of Death/ Doom.
