DEVOID OF THOUGHT

Compilation released in 2021 by Italian Death Metal band DEVOID OF THOUGHT, gathering the demos "Cosmic Apocalypse" (2017) and "Planetary Graveyard" (2019), along with a track originally featured on a 2019 split EP and one live recording. Released under the title "Necrotic Surface Discarded", this CD offers a comprehensive overview of the band's formative years and collects material that was previously scattered across limited underground releases.

Compared to the more fully developed approach of "Outer World Graves", these recordings capture DEVOID OF THOUGHT at a rawer and more primitive stage, while already displaying the core elements that would define the band's identity. Twisted riffing, unsettling atmospheres and themes rooted in science fiction and cosmic horror are all present, providing an intriguing glimpse into the origins of one of the most distinctive modern Death Metal acts. Far more than a simple collection of rarities, "Necrotic Surface Discarded" serves as an essential document of the band's early evolution.
