8th album from 2026 by Sweden's AT THE GATES and one of the most meaningful releases in the history of one of Melodic Death Metal's most influential bands. Released five years after "The Nightmare of Being", the album also marks the return of Anders Björler and features the final vocal recordings of Tomas Lindberg, who passed away in 2025, making it both a powerful farewell and an important chapter in the band's legacy.

"The Ghost of a Future Dead" recaptures much of the urgency and aggression that made "Slaughter of the Soul" a landmark release while retaining the depth and maturity developed throughout the band's later years. Sharp riffing, dark melodies, relentless intensity and Lindberg's unmistakable voice come together in a work that balances fury, melancholy and emotional weight.
