3rd album from 2017 by this Canadian Death/ Thrash Metal band from Québec. With "Burn Up the Dead", MORTÖR further developed its ferocious old-school approach, combining the aggression of savage Thrash Metal with the heaviness and darkness of classic Death Metal. Released four years after "Shoot 'Em Up", the album finds the band sounding more mature and confident than ever, firmly establishing a style deeply rooted in the North American extreme Metal tradition.

Within the band's catalog, this release represents the culmination of an evolution that had been developing for years, taking its Death/ Thrash formula to a new level of cohesion and impact. The album was mixed and mastered by Christian Donaldson (CRYPTOPSY), whose work provides a powerful and clear production that enhances both the razor-sharp riffing and the crushing rhythm section. Drawing inspiration from the classic American and Canadian Death Metal schools, MORTÖR achieves a highly effective balance of speed, heaviness and aggression, resulting in one of the strongest releases of its career.
