Debut album from 1985 by German STORMWIND, a powerful example of mid-1980s German Speed/ Heavy Metal. "Taken by Storm" blends the strength of traditional Heavy Metal with the speed and aggression that defined the emerging German scene, delivering sharp riffs, memorable choruses and relentless energy throughout its concise running time.

The album perfectly captures the transition from the New Wave of British Heavy Metal to the tougher and faster German sound that would soon dominate the European underground. Although STORMWIND released only this full-length and one EP, "Taken by Storm" remains a cult favourite among collectors of classic Speed/ Heavy Metal.
