AVULSED

8th album from 2019 by Madrid's AVULSED, one of the most veteran, influential and representative bands in European Death Metal. Conceived as a monumental celebration of the band's 25th anniversary, "Deathgeneration" is an ambitious double album featuring 18 tracks drawn from every stage of the group's career, including material originally released on albums, EPs and demos, all completely re-recorded by the lineup of the time and presented with the heaviest and most powerful production AVULSED had ever achieved. Far more than a simple retrospective, the album serves as a comprehensive reinterpretation of the band's legacy, breathing new life into songs spanning its entire history.

One of the album's most remarkable features is its extraordinary lineup of guest vocalists, featuring 16 singers from legendary Death Metal acts such as AT THE GATES, ABORTED, DEMILICH, AUTOPSY, GOD MACABRE, PENTAGRAM CHILE, MASSACRE, PAGANIZER, SINISTER, INCANTATION, PURTENANCE, MORTICIAN, SUPURATION, INTERMENT, NECROPHILIAC and DETERIOROT. Rather than being mere guest appearances, these collaborations add considerable historical value and transform the album into a true celebration of the camaraderie that has always defined the international underground Death Metal scene. The album was also mastered by Dan Swanö (EDGE OF SANITY, BLOODBATH, NIGHTINGALE), providing exceptional clarity and power throughout, while the stunning cover artwork created by Daemorph marked the beginning of a successful artistic collaboration that would continue on subsequent AVULSED releases.

This 2-CD edition also includes an extensive 20-page booklet packed with photographs, artwork and detailed information covering the band's history. As a perfect complement, the second CD contains exactly the same songs featured on "Deathgeneration", but in their original recordings taken from the different stages of AVULSED's career. This allows listeners to make a direct comparison between the classic versions and their newly re-recorded counterparts, tracing the band's musical, technical and sonic evolution from its earliest years to the present day. Thanks to its concept, execution and significance within the band's catalog, "Deathgeneration" stands as a unique release that goes far beyond the traditional compilation format and remains one of the most special and important entries in AVULSED's entire discography.
