EP from 2015 by Madrid's AVULSED, one of the longest-running and most representative bands in European Death Metal. “Altar of Disembowelment” marked the band's return to the studio following the acclaimed “Ritual Zombi”, delivering four brand-new tracks that showcase the group in outstanding form, alongside a powerful cover version of BLACK SABBATH's classic “Neon Knights”.

The EP retains all of AVULSED's trademark elements: heavy and memorable riffs, crushing tempo changes, macabre atmospheres and the unmistakable ultra-guttural vocals of Dave Rotten. Featuring a powerful production, mixing by Raúl Fournier, mastering by Dan Swanö and stunning cover artwork by Juanjo Castellano, the release offers some of the strongest and most crushing material of this era of the band.

Far from sounding like a mere transitional release, “Altar of Disembowelment” quickly became one of the most acclaimed EPs in the band's career, once again proving their ability to keep the spirit of the finest European Old School Death Metal alive.
