15th album from 1990 by the legendary British Heavy Metal pioneers BLACK SABBATH and one of the most highly regarded releases of the Tony Martin era. Released after "Headless Cross" (1989), "Tyr" continued the band's creative resurgence of the late 1980s, with Tony Iommi leading a revitalized lineup and exploring lyrical themes inspired by Norse mythology, giving the album a distinctive identity within BLACK SABBATH's vast catalog.
