8th album from 1988 by British SAXON, released during a period in which the band pursued a more melodic Hard Rock direction while still retaining elements of their New Wave of British Heavy Metal roots. "Destiny" features a polished production and a more commercial approach aimed at the American market, making it one of the most distinctive releases in the band's catalogue.

Rather than repeating the formula of earlier classics such as "Wheels of Steel" or "Strong Arm of the Law", SAXON embraced a more accessible style that divided fans upon its release. Over the years, however, the album has gained appreciation as an underrated chapter in the band's career, showcasing some of their strongest melodic songwriting of the late 1980s.
